What a Year

I can’t believe it’s been nearly a full year since we posted anything on our page… we all know what a year it’s been: full of hard events, losses, and so much unknown. We’ve hunkered down, just like the rest of the the world, and just like the rest of the world, feel our Phoenix slowly beginning to rise from the ashes.

In 2020, we played two shows: one right before everything went down, in New York at Otto’s Shrunken Head on February 13th, and one at our yearly New Year’s Eve party at the Driskill in Austin. Meanwhile, we wrote a few songs, distantly recorded them with the band- which was an adventure in itself- and played a few private events that we recorded from our living room. Rock n Roll.

In 2021 so far, we already made a HUGE change. Jorge and I moved to New York- since I’ve been working here for the past few years- and we got tired of ‘visiting’ each other. We’re actually right in the middle of that move now. And a few weeks after we get settled in, we’re bringing the gents north to record another socially safe video performance that will be available to the world at the Walldorf Rock n Roll Weekender on May 21-23. Stay tuned for more details on that!

Until then, we send everyone lots of love and support. Please stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you down the road, face to face, in the same room someday soon!
