Greetings to all of our friends, family and fans out there! We hope everyone is having a stellar Spring, and enjoying health and good mojo, wherever you are 🙂
I thought I would bring you up to date on what’s been going on with my health: if you recall, a few years ago I ran some posts about my failing vocal strength and how upsetting that was to me, spiritually, now I’m near a total restore. And how hard it was for me to watch Jorge continue to play with others, especially folks who run in the same vein as I do musically. That was a very hard time for me, and I appreciate the support and love I received from you 🙂
Well things have certainly changed! It turns out that my broken ribs had caused a great deal of havoc with my vocal chords, pulling them out of alignment. I have been going to phyical therapy religiously, and giving my voice a well-deserved break, and doing whatever it takes to regain my health. As a result, my voice hasn’t sounded this good- this warm and melifluous and resonant- in years. On the last few tours we’ve done, my voice held up, and I think it’s continuing to grow and resonate well. YAY!!!
We are still not playing as often as we have in the past- partly due to the miscommunications we had with Atomic Music Group, and partly due to my being away working on various films (and partly due to our personnel change in drummers!)- all good timing it seems. We have started to add shows back into our calendar, and I have been writing new songs that I can hardly wait to share with the band and then with you 🙂
So now we’re just looking forward to seeing your bright and shiny smiling faces at a show sometime soon. There are a handful of exciting festivals and events we’ll be playing throughout the year, so be sure to check out our calendar to find out where and when we’ll be playing next, and until then, keep on a rockin’!
