Ruby Dee and The Snakehandlers Day Proclaimed in Austin TX!

We’re proud to be honored by the City Of Austin as Austin artists by having our own proclaimed Ruby Dee and The Snakehandlers Day! We arrived yesterday at City Hall in downtown Austin at about 5:00, quickly gathered our gear and prepared to setup to play in chambers. As soon as they recessed, we rushed in, setup quickly and played a quick rendition of “Who Is She” from our NORTH OF BAKERSFIELD release. We were introduced by Council Member Chris Riley, we played, conducted a short interview and then Mr. Riley read the official proclamation signed by Mayor Lee Heffingwell. There will be film available soon, so stay tuned!

Thank you, Austin Texas – We’re proud to be here!
