Adios Benelux, Howdy Germany!

Tonight was our last night with Surfing Airlines for the Belgium and Netherlands portion of our 2010 European tour, and we just want to say, thanks Surfing Airlines! Tomorrow we go pick up a rental van and then we start the last leg of our tour in Germany for the next week. We had a really great last night in the Benelux at the Ace Cafe in Rumst, owned by our pal Chris- one of our FAVE bars in Europe, no doubt.

The show was well attended by many friends- Willie, Kristine and Arne, Eddie, the kids from the Youth Club, SO MANY friends, it was really great to see all of you our last night in the area. Now you have to come visit us!!

Yesterday we played a fabulous afternoon gig at a yearly festival, flanked by these super fun gals from Finland The Patsy Walkers and our pal Eddie Angel in the Neanderthals- plus lots of other acts- what a FUN day! And after that show, we drove to De Snabbelaar in Klaaswaal for our 2nd show there in as many years- and again, we saw old familiar faces. I LOVE that about shows in Europe- that folks travel around and come see you here, there and everywhere. That is truly satisfying.

We’re tired after doing 2 more shows today- one at a surprisingly cool biker haunt in Holland called The Hogs with a great crowd of friendly folks, and the second at of course, The Ace Cafe. I call that all good.

Jorge and the gents are out with friends at the local pub for one last drink before we hit the road for Germany, and I’m ‘home’ in jammies getting ready for what’s next. And as I always say, bring it on!!!

Catch you all on the flipside, Ruby Dee
