The Austin Chronicle has just released their 2009 Music Poll, and Ruby Dee and The Snakehandlers would be appropriate in the Best New Austin band, and in the Best Performing Bands in the Country/Bluegrass or Roots/Rock categories. If you wish to vote for individual group members you can vote for Ruby Dee Philippa (vocals, songwriter), Jorge Harada (guitar), Kevin Fox (bass), and Jordan Teitelbaum (drums).
