Small world growing smaller

Well hell’s bell’s- we are having absolutely the best time out here! Last night, our old pal Harley who we know from Seattle came out to hang with the band- and he brought a whole bevy of fine feminine folk along with him. At one point, they were all out on the dance floor- I’m sure a lot of menfolk were having a great time watching the show! And one gal liked us so much, she bought a pair of unmentionables and then threw them at me on stage! Sorry boys in the band, those undies were meant for yours truly!!

And a whole lot of other coincidental pieces came in to play too- one of the gals with Harley lives half the year on her boat in Seattle- and she found out I was the owner of Bandoleone- which she LOVED- we had ourselves a little reunion right then and there in Lexington. And small world growing smaller- one of my old employees, a fine gent originally from Kentucky, walked in the door and handed me a note while I was up on stage. He was at work down the street, saw our poster, and had to run up the street to say howdy. Boy howdy’s more like it. Small world growing smaller!

We had the best time. It was great seeing Harley, Carrie and the gang. And a special thanks to the good folks in June July (Billy, Heather and the yet un-named puppy in yer belly gal) who not only opened the show for us but also papered the town with flyers to get folks out to the show. We owe you two a night out in Austin, so come on down!

In fact, some of the folks at the show told us they were going to come out to see us in Newport on Saturday, and others are heading over to Nashville on Sunday! Man, that’s fans. I’ll just have to work up some new stories for ‘em!

Ok, so off to rest up and get ready for the show at 4620 Revisited tonight here in Knoxville. Otherwise, see y’all down the road! And until then, keep on honky tonkin’,
Ruby
