Home Cookin’

Whew! Well here we are again, sitting at Grant and Kathyrn’s kitchen while they cook up a whole mess of good home cookin’ for us before we get sent off on our way home. The biscuits smell heavenly…

We played a kick ass show last night at the Five Spot in Nashville with friends Hillbilly Casino and new pals Baskery from Sweden. That’s a great band who you need to check out- three sisters who play a sort of punk thrash bluegrass with sweet yet wicked harmonies. Truly FUN. And hey people, I do believe they converted Jorge over to the banjo!

And… hot dog, once again, we saw good buds Harley, Jessica, and others who all made their way to the venue to catch us on the last night of our tour. Though after playing four hours at the Southgate House on Saturday- which was a LOT of fun- I lost my voice, and wasn’t sure I’d make it through the set last night. We LOVE the Southgate House- I got up and danced on the bar, and we had a whole room of pretty ladies jiggling hard- gotta keep the men folk happy! But we had no monitors and I thrashed my voice bye bye. Spent all day yesterday quietly keeping mum, then got enough vocals back to do the show last night. The Hillbilly Casino boys told us this is the best we’ve ever sounded, and I have to agree. This has got to be the best tour we’ve had out here so far- and there’s more to come!
