Well there’s another fine night for us! We just played at Luigi’s in Lokeren, Belgium and had a great time. But I’ll tell you what I love almost more than anything- when folks come out to hear us play like the older couple who kept buying us drinks and speaking slower and louder so we would finally understand Flemish. She kept grabbing me and telling me how much she loved me, and then he grabbed me and danced with me while his wife danced with Jorge and they both sang to us in Flemish- or was it Dutch? Sorry, dunno…
Then there was the requisite drunken sot who kept ticking Jorge off as he repeatedly tried to talk to us. He was actually sort of sad really, but either way, we kept him faaaaar away from our table before and after we played.
Thanks to our friends who came out ONCE AGAIN to hear us play- whew! Thanks to you, we pepped up and played a great show. We know we’ll be seeing you again…
So it’s not on the schedule, but tomorrow we play at an asylum- yup, for all our friends and family- and then we’re off to Tielemans in Holland, where supposedly we’ll be getting fed horsemeat. Can you bear it? And some say touring is all glamour… Well hat’s off to all our friends and fans- truly, you’re why we do this!!
