Oh what a night! Ok, you’ve heard it before, but yowza, tonight was one of the most memorable nights we’ve had in a while. Our friend Eddie put together a really nice show for us at the youth club in Duffel. A whole lotta great folks came out to hear us play, including a number of our tried and true pals from all over Belgium- Ingrid, Kristina, Arne, Miranda, Karin, Simone, Willie, and even a series of greetings from friends who couldn’t make it out to see us but wanted to say ‘hey’ just the same. G-d that feels great!
We had a wonderful meal, then headed to the club where Eddie had set up a lovely green room for us, stocked with Jack Daniels and more. We rolled downstairs and played two frigging killer sets, plus 2 encores, they wouldn’t let us go.
And… the band I was going on and on about yesterday is none other than De Niewe Snaar, which means The New String in Flemish. Two of the band members came to the show tonight- the two brothers Jan and Kris- and it was such a treat to see them in the audience and to meet them. I hear they enjoyed the show, and that’s like dessert right there. If you have a chance, check them out- amazing gents, truly.
Oh and I’m so embarassed but we actually ran out of our new CD tonight- sold the last copy of Miles From Home we’d shipped over- and are nearly out of North of Bakersfield too! Yes, how our problems could be so much worse.;-)
Well, tonight was our last night of the tour in Belgium, now on to Holland for 3 nights, then home. So make sure you come out to see us if you can while we’re still over here. And farewell and thanks to all our friends in Belgium- until the next time, keep on rockin’!
