Howdy folks – here’s our not-so-weekly update, this one’s short and sweet. Read on!
- We’re in Austin, TX! Finally getting settled in and rarin’ to go, and we have a new Austin-based rhythm section in the chamber and ready to fire for our European Tour next month. Mr. Leslie McCurdy on bass and Jordan Teitelbaum on the drums lay down the rock solid foundation for honky-tonk shenanigans ala snakehandlers. Look for more from these gents as we start performing here in Austin.
- European Tour coming up next month: We’ll be heading back to Belgium and Holland for the month of May, starting on April 30th through May 24th, where we will be playing the R’n'R Sunday Festival in Hoorn. We’re pleased to announce that also performing that day is one of our faves and good friends the Roy Kay Trio, direct from Seattle. Check our tour dates here on our site for complete details.
- Festival De Country Music Mirande: From July 9th-14th, we’ve been invited (thank you Mr. Broussard) to perform in Mirande, France at the Festival De Country Music Mirande. Ruby Dee and Jorge will be performing on July 13th, along with fellow Austinite Robert Banta and Mr. Mike Sanchez, of BIG SIX fame. Jorge will also be playing guitar for Austinites Teri Joyce on July 11th, and Paul Minor on July 12th. Other Austin notables on the festival line-up are Freddy Steady krc, Dave Insley, and the inimitable Ricky Broussard. Also, from Holland the Hillbilly Boogiemen.
