Back On Pacific Time…

Good morning friends and fambly- we’re up bright and early for some G-d-awful reason, don’t know why! We played a late show last night at this personality-filled little room on Congress called the Vaudeville to a small crowd of Tucsonians. The show was good, audience response fair enough, and the staff very obliging, all in all. The opening band, El Camino Royale, was a nice surprise- their upright bass player, Andrew, used to live in Seattle, and had asked for the slot. He played with Knut Bell way back when, when Jorge played in that act too. So that’s a small world closing in even faster all the time! They showed some stuff, too, and this was their very first show! Or so they said… I still don’t know if they were joshing or not.

We had a great Drive Time interview with Kathy over at Station… oh dang! I can’t recall. Their tagline was ‘Real Music, Real People’, which I really appreciate. I apologize for not recalling the call letters or number on the dial to them, cause they have a truly good thing going there, and we had a great time. Shoot, well just know that when you pull through Tucson, check out the local independent radio station to the left on the dial. They’re good folks and know good music too!

I’ve been posting photos from the tour on Myspaz, and Facebook, and Jorge’s been adding all our press to our website. Feel free to check out what folks are saying about us out here on the road, and what and who we’re seeing as we mosey along.

See you all soon enough down the road,
Ruby Dee
