BACK IN THE HAPPY!
Well finally, here we are, back in the happy, after a few blue nights on this tour. My oh my, and how happy we are! We spent two really memorable nights with Jay Lingo and fambly in Ben Lomond near Santa Cruz but better, up in the redwoods, and played a really fun show at Don Quixote’s in Felton a few nights ago.
First off, hanging with Jason and friends (and sis!) was tasty, like being at home with a really BIG frigging family, all the best things about that. We ate well, drank well, swam, and had just a great time shooting at things. Good clean fun!!
Second, Don Quixote’s: LOVE this place. Built in the 40’s for big bands, the sound’s all there. And thanks to Toby for great sound, and TOM for bringing us out sight unseen, and our other buddy Tom for spinning real live records, and all the good folks who came out to dance and sway the night away. And higs and Fifi kisses to Greg, Christina, Angie, and all the rest… Thanks! Y’all put a smile back on my face.
We were sad to go actually. Then tonight, we played the most heavenly venue- located right on Lake Tahoe at the Valhalla Boathouse… whew! Great stage, sound and better yet- folks. I had so much danged fun singing to each and every one of you, telling my little stories, and dancing around for you all! Thanks, Dave H., for helping put that together. And how do to Stevie Zoom for stopping in to hang out with us on yer vacation!
Last thing, we just found out that one of our tunes is being picked up for use on a new TV show called Easy Money… how fitting yet odd… there ain’t nothing easy about what we do!!
Two more dates on this tour, tomorrow in Sacramento at Old Ironsides at 9pm, and Saturday in SF at the Knockout at 9pm as well… See ya there or down the road, friends, Ruby
