It’s been a little while since we emailed you last – since July 11th, to be exact. A lot of exciting things are happening right now, so let’s get right to it!
MILES FROM HOME CRACKS AMA TOP 1OO AMERICANA RADIO CHART
That’s right, folks! MILES FROM HOME has steadily been climbing over the last 9 weeks from a lowly 409 to number 94 this week, and this is all thanks to your support and the cool radio stations that know a good thing when they hear it. We’re hanging in there at #94 for 3 weeks now, and you can help us climb up the chart by calling your local college/independent radio station and requesting some songs or that they add MILES FROM HOME to their playlists. Incidentally, The Americana Airplay chart represents the reported play of terrestrial radio stations, nationally syndicated radio shows, satellite radio and internet stations who have agreed to submit weekly spin counts. You can read about it at www.americanamusic.org.

We’ll be hanging around Nashville from the 18th to the 20th of September, so if you see us standin’ around or wandering around aimlessly, make sure you say hi!
A few months back, Ruby Dee and myself conducted a Touring Workshop for Independent Artists at American Music, Seattle. It was so successful, that we’ve been asked to present again twice this month, on Saturday morning at the Point Defiance Music Festival, and at the Americana Music Association Conference in Nashville, TN later this month (Saturday, Sep 20th to be exact). The workshop includes budgeting and routing tips, mapping, safety, practical road wisdom and more. If you or your organization is interested in the workshop, contact us at email@example.com.
We’ve recently done some revamping on the website to be able to present you with new content more frequently, which will enable us to get you the latest news, music and other information right to your desktop! Sign up for our RSS feed, or register as a user on www.rubydeemusic.com so you can leave comments on our tour blogs. Even though the site is currently being themed, it is fully functional. Shoot on over to www.rubydeemusic.com and give it a test ride. Let us know what you think!
Along with our new release MILES FROM HOME (Dionysus), we will also be sporting a new t-shirt design specially printed for this tour. These shirts will be available on our upcoming tour, along with some new stuff that you can spend your hard earned bucks on (and well spent if I say so myself), and of course, we will have your old favorites. If you haven’t had the chance to pickup a workshirt, make sure you do so – we have a tough time keeping these in stock, so make sure you order up at the shows. All our merchandise will be available on our website very, very soon, we promise.
That’s about all for now – thanks for readin’, and feel free to drop a line if you want. Thanks again for your support, and we’ll see you on down the road!
Rockin’ good news,
Ruby Dee And The Snakehandlers
