Howdy friends and fambly! Well, we played a fun little show in San Jose the night before last at a great little place called Johnny V’s downtown. Love the staff, love all 3 of our friends who came out to hear us play, including our new friend who had been at our Friday show in SF three nights earlier… I love my silent stalker buddies, they make me feel so warm and safe inside… Actually, I do like it when folks come out to hear us twice- I know we’re doing something right then. Either that, or they can’t believe what they heard the first time and need to confirm a second time for themselves!
The staff was generous and took very good care of us nonetheless. So I give a great big thanks to San Jose for helping us get from point A to point B on this trip- yeehaw to Johnny V’s!
Last night was our first in LA- we played at the Blue Cafe again in Long Beach, and a crew of friends and fans showed up. We played great, had a silly ol’ time on stage, and then got paid our delightful $18- which then covered our dinner. Sometimes you just got to roll with the punches, and last night we rolled…
Tonight we’re off to play with Dale Watson down in San Diego at the Casbah- that should be fun- and Thursday we’re playing at a LAMA showcase back in West LA at the Palmer Room. Hey, anyone who knows folks who may want to attend that show- we have 25 free tickets to give away.
